JINA ACADEMY
History
Jina Park, a compassionate kindergarten teacher from South Korea, had a deep love for Nepal and devoted her time to volunteer there. Tragically, she unexpectedly passed away in Nepal in January 2018. In response to this loss, her fellow volunteers came together with a shared goal: to make Jina’s dream of establishing a school in Nepal a reality.
Over several years of dedicated effort, these volunteers worked tirelessly to bring Jina’s vision to life. Finally, on April 7, 2024 (corresponding to 25 Chaitra 2080 in the Nepali calendar), the school officially opened its doors. This school has become more than just a building; it’s a beacon of hope and opportunity for the local community, contributing significantly to the education system in Nepal.
The opening of this school stands as a powerful tribute to Jina’s memory and the impact she made during her time in Nepal. Through their collective actions, her fellow volunteers have ensured that Jina’s legacy of kindness and service lives on, enriching the lives of many through the gift of education.
